Energy: Minister unveils electricity data system
The Minister of Energy, Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu, unveiled an improved Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) data system that provides data on expanding access to electricity.
During the unveiling of version 3 of the SE4ALL platform in Abuja, the Minister said that the new online system was part of the Nigerian Energy Support Program (NESP) and had been made with the support from the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation. and development (BMZ).
The Head of Green and Digital Economy at the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Ms. Inga Stefanowicz, said: “The data collected and the new tools will be used to serve as a prefeasibility for private sector investments. , enable the development of policies and frameworks as well as the monitoring of policy objectives.

Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy in Nigeria, Mr. Martin Huth, noted that the interactive web-based platform will help the regulatory framework to improve electrification efforts and provide the private sector with data on plans. business for investments.
In the latest version, mini-grids, the electricity sector and solar home systems have been integrated.
Mr. Duke Benjamin, Program Manager, NESP, added that the first version of the platform was launched in November 2020 and made significant use of power grid data and off-grid surveys.
