Sumitomo Electric opens special webpage for ITU-T G.654.E ultra-low loss optical fibers and terrestrial cables, ‘PureAdvance’ series
PureAdvance, conforming to the international standard ITU-T G.654.E, is an optical fiber which achieves low transmission loss by using pure silica for the central part, through which the optical signals propagate into the optical fiber .
Introducing the new special web page
PureAdvance’s solution is presented using visually easy to understand icons.
It presents many examples of its use for applications that take advantage of high transmission performance, such as long distance data transmission, high capacity data transmission between data centers, and submarine cable landing. .
PureAdvance is also expected to be used in other applications requiring low transmission loss, such as quantum cryptographic communication systems and sensor networks.
It offers a range of optical cables using PureAdvance, ranging from those with a small number of fibers to those with a large number of fibers. Technical sheets are also available for download.
With the introduction of 5G services, the increasing use of various Internet contents and the spread of remote working, the demand for infotainment traffic continues to increase in the world. For this reason, the need for high performance optical fibers capable of efficiently transmitting high capacity optical signals over a long distance has increased.
