The State Department is proud to see that the World Data System (WDS), a non-governmental organization for norms and standards for scientific data, has selected the Oak Ridge Institute at the University of Tennessee (ORI to UT) to host its International Program Office for a five-year term beginning in 2021. The Office will foster US leadership in international norms and values-based standards for data and scientific research over the next five years. With the strong support of the State Department, this selection is a testament to American scientific leadership and innovation, reflecting the long tradition of excellence, freedom, openness and transparency of American universities and laboratories in the scientific field. and technological.
The State Department is committed to developing and promoting reliable data and internationally recognized norms and standards that form the foundation of America’s strong innovation ecosystem.
