Currently, the whole country has 38 gasoline wholesalers, 329 gasoline distributors and nearly 17,000 retail service stations.

In order to strengthen state management in the field of gasoline trade, to prevent violations in petroleum trading activities and to help authorities regulate the supply and demand of gasoline, it is necessary to apply information technology to update the data of oil trading companies across the country. related to the sources of gasoline, the distribution system, the field of activity of the companies, etc.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the creation and updating of the gasoline management application database should also ensure compliance with the regulations on the business reporting regime in accordance with the legal provisions in force in the field of gasoline and information security of companies. information.

Therefore, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has collaborated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to build the National Petroleum Management and Administration Database System.
